Q.) What is an Invisiwig?
A.) Invisiwigs are manufactured with a cap, and a thin lace sewn on top of the cap.
Individual hairs are then sewn into the thin lace.
Invisiwigs will have lace all around the unit, and require the lace to be cut all around the unit.
You will be cutting a hairline around your entire head. By doing so, once done you can wear your hair anyway you like, ponytails, up-dos etc. Think about it. With the wig, you have just cut yourself a new hairline around your entire head.
Once the unit is applied, you will have on a full hair wig - but the front , back, and sides of the hair wig will not be like a regular wig. The wig will appear that all of the hair is growing directly from your head.
Q.) What is a lace front?
A.) Its a material like extra-invisible nylon stockings that is very hard to see when it is placed against the skin. The hair is knotted into the lace and appears to grow from the scalp. The front edge of a hairpiece is the most important area. It is the part that is always detected if you wear a bad hairpiece. Only a lace front can be trusted to maintain the illusion of growing hair.
Q.) Which front edge is the least detectable?
A.) Extra Fine Swiss lace. Visually, it's the ultimate.
Q.) What about undetectability and strength?
A.) French lace is very hard to detect and quite strong.
Q.) How long do the hairpieces last?
A.) This depends on many factors. Your design choice may be a robust unit or a fine, delicate, barely visible unit. You may care for your unit like a supreme expert, or you may be too rough on it. Some clients get 3 months out of a unit, and others make it last well over a year without much deterioration. Our guarantee period is three months.
Q.) How do I remove my lace Hairpiece without damaging it?
A.) Adhesive should be released from the hair side of the lace, with Lace Release or alcohol. Spray or drip it through and wait for the bond to release before lifting the hairpiece away.
Q.) How do I remove the taped on hairpiece if there is poly at the edge?
A.) Basically peel it off your head slowly, but if it's strong tape such as blue, spray or drip alcohol or lace release between the skin and the tape to make it more comfortable to remove.
Q.) I release the lace and all the glue stays on my head.
A.) That's exactly what you want. Clean the glue off your head afterwards with Adhesive Remover.
Q.) Should I start to release at the front or the back?
A.) Whichever you prefer.
Q.) I removed my lace hairpiece and it lost hair, what did I do wrong?
A.) You must completely release the bond to the glue or tape before you lift the lace up. If you just do this, you won't pull hairs out.
Q.) The Adhesive Remover prevents the new tape from sticking tothe unit.
A.) Clean off the Adhesive Remover, which is oil based, with Lace Release or alcohol and then neutralize the alcohol with water or shampoo and water. You can't stick adhesive to Adhesive Remover! The unit has to be dry also.
Q.) There is hair on the tape.
A.) Release it more carefully prior to removal. You need the hair to stay in the hairpiece.
Q.) What are the sizes of your stock wigs?
A.) Stock wigs come in generic sizings of small, medium, and large. A Medium size is considered 22"- 22.5" in circumference measurement. Anything below 22" is a Small and anything above 22.5" is a Large
Q.) What payment options do you have?
A.) When you order any Lace Front Wig, you will be required to pay a half deposit. Once the wig is completed in 6-8 weeks, the remaining balance of the wig will be charged and the wig will be shipped to you. We currently do not offer payment plans.
